The Graduate Skills Academy (GSA) offers undergraduates and graduates who are both in work and searching for jobs an opportunity to learn and refine the skills demanded by today’s employer.
In an increasingly competitive market for graduate jobs, employers are looking for candidates that stand out. This will be a combination of academic success, past experience and proven employability skills. Employers are looking for graduates that will make a real impact when they start. By attending the GSA, you will be able to demonstrate to either your existing or prospective employers that you are that individual.
In our most recent market research with graduate employers we asked if they would attach value to prospective candidates who had already attended a graduate business skills programme prior to application. 60% said that they would, and that they would consider access to alumni students to such a programme as an important recruitment aid. By attending this training programme, you will be able to demonstrate this advantage over other candidates. For those not yet in a role we’ll also make your curriculum vitae available to employers who send their own graduate recruits on the Graduate Skills Academy.
As well as learning from our expert trainers, all of whom have taught on internal graduate schemes run by major UK employers, you will also have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of your co-students on this programme.
The GSA 5-day programme is run all over the UK, so you should be able to find an event close to you. You can attend either on a residential or non-residential basis.
